Fine Art Horses, Equestrian Mini Session: Molly + Hillcrest Songbird

Traverse City, Michigan is one of my favorite places to visit on the yearly schedule of horse shows that I am now attending more and more frequently (my fiancé is an amateur equestrian, and a pretty competitive one at that, so like I said, horse shows are becoming more and more frequent). There are great restaurants, amazing local products including some pretty spectacular vineyards and some views that are absolutely breathtaking. It is the perfect place to capture some photos of equestrians in between competitions at the “Great Lakes Equestrian Festival” that takes place during July and August at Flintfield’s horse park just outside Traverse City. Up first was Molly and her pony “Hillcrest Songbird” (nicknamed Eva). These two got up bright and early on a Saturday morning before competing to get their photos done and we had the best time!
