NYBFW: Amsale Tribute
The tribute to Amsale that was included with the presentation of the newest collection was very touching. The final dress was actually the very first dress this industry shaping woman made back in 1990. The iconic duchess satin column gown showcases the first of its kind, sheer illusion neckline, a pleated train and hand rolled rosettes. This dress walked the runway in silence, and it was very moving. I had the pleasure of meeting Amsale a few times, she was so warm and friendly, and so humble. I think the most beautiful thing to say here is that her legacy will forever go in in the hearts and minds of each and every bride that has worn her creations, and who felt so radiant on their wedding day.
